Join us on a journey into the past: July 1-3, 1863. In these crucial 3 days, tens of thousands of casualties occurred as the North began to pull away from the South – once and for all – during the decisive and divisive American Civil War.
Once in Gettysburg, our first stop is the Visitors’ Center. Guests will have the opportunity to view the incredible Cyclorama, which presents the third and final day of battle in a unique format. Also there is an in-depth museum which discusses not only the Battle of Gettysburg but also the American Civil War itself – its origins and significant moments and events.
- You will visit the historic Seminary Ridge museum. We will arrange a special view of the battlefield for you from the Cupola. Also, the museum explains in detail Civil War nursing and medicine and the daily life of the soldiers.
- We will drive you around the historic town. Also, you can enjoy a battlefield tour. The battlefield is vast – 17 square miles – so we can create a highlights tour led by a Licensed Battlefield Guide that focuses on the sites you wish to see the most during your visit.
Dining: there are many good options in and near Gettysburg. We can discuss these choices when you book.
- There are special kid-friendly options that we can tailor for families or students. We can’t wait to share this information with you.
If you wish to take a Gettysburg town or battlefield night (ghost) tour, we can arrange those for you as well.
We can meet you in or near Gettysburg, or if you are staying in the Washington, D.C. area, we can give you a ride to and from the battlefield.
